View Full Version : Expedited eBay Trust & Safety contact?

Greetings,

I have been selling on eBay and using PayPal since it was known as x.com, nearly 10 years now. I have used several different usernames and eBay store names to suit my market niche.

Currently I am selling Digital Downloads under this same inkFrog username. Enough history, on with my problem...

Three nights ago, I noticed my scheduled listings were not posting. Found in the errored section, they were being rejected with Error 240.

Mind you, these have been stable running relists of auctions for the past 4 months.

I tried to list directly on eBay and received a message that my selling privileges have been suspended.

I have had two on-line chats and have sent two emails to Trust and Safety. It's now 4 days and I have yet to receive a reply or explanation. The on-line chat resulted in two referrals to T&S with two different contact methods, hence the two emails.

I am not looking for anybody's speculation on why I've been suspended because I'm sure eBay's reasoning does not reflect the sane minds of the inkFrog community.

What I need is an expedited way to contact T&S to get this resolved. Is there such a thing as a phone number?

I am a Power Seller with 100% positive feedback and there just ought to be an easier way...

Thanks to all in advance for your time and consideration.

Thanks biggfredd,

That was a bust. The telephone numbers have recordings that refer you to web pages.

The operator will connect you to a department that has a message refering you to a webpage.

After three calls, I was able to leave a message but never actually speak to anyone.

if your suspended all your auctions would have been shut down.

There is no one home at eBay

I'll tell you what they would. Put your concerns into writing and submit your request.

Let me know if you can find anyone over the age of 21.

Trust and safety nor my rep did not even know the difference between a flash suppressor or a silencer.

What did I tell you? Someone here was saying that you can avoid suspension just by following the rules...well the problem is that eBay makes and changes the rules at their pleasure!

Your most likely SOL.....but best of luck...get a another account up and running...

Hate to tell you, but eBay doesn't care...you mean nothing to them....

Starting another account while being under suspension will get you a lifetime ban.

If your suspended all your auctions would have been shut down.

Now they do partial suspensions as well. Last year I received a partial suspension for selling a designer perfume world wide and breaking some German Laws--that ebay never posted because even they didn't know about it. I was not allowed to sell in that category for at least six months.

Definitely use power seller customer service. They may be able to expedite things for you. At the very least give you a faster response.

The way things drag on at ebay is just bad business. They don't care about anything--customer service, you, your lively hood, themselves, the job, or even the effects.

To them its all just a "shift". And even when they show up for work--they never really show up.

I think the whole company is at times completely unaware of who it is that pays their bills.

Last year, I was going to sell digital information and when I tried to set up the auction I received a pop-up that said PayPal no longer accepts payments for digital downloads. That might be the problem. Possibly, eBay/PayPal didn't notice what you were selling until recently.

Since you are a power seller, you can post on the power seller community board. I would post there and ask others there if you haven't already done so.

Also, you can go through the power seller customer service as jj said.

You can also 411 for the phone number.

Here's their address:

eBay Inc.
2145 Hamilton Avenue
San Jose, California 95125

Unless it's something simple, like a temporary/partial suspension, etc. keep copies of everything you send them in writing.

klixco:

If you would like to promote something, please don't bring up old threads, as you can see I for one didn't read the date.

Here's the link to the forum From Our Pad To Yours where you can promote things:

It's nice having a spot set aside for promoting! http://www.buildaforum.com/inkforums/img/smilies/wink.gif
