Does anyone know if eBay (USA) was really hacked into yesterday?
Supposedly, user information and credit
card numbers were on display for about
two hours in the "Trust and Security"
Community forum on ebay.com. I found the
forum by accident, and very
shortly before ebay closed the forum.
I went to google around 7PM (New York time)
and there was a post listing all of
the user names that were on display.
So, to state the obvious, I changed my
password and cancelled my credit card.
Hoping it was a hoax, not a true hack...

If you do a Google on this you come with all kind ofs blogs and stories about Ebay being hacked into over the years.

Well it would appear that this is the case. You can get alot of links to screenshots of the info released and different viewpoints on this situation at THIS LINK (http://steve-o-meter.com/content/view/175/298/). And just for giggles here are two other stories of eBay being hacked two other times this year...which eBay also denies even though the info was posted on their own forum boards and the other the guy was indicted). Just a heads up that site I list above under THIS LINK..alot of the information is being pulled (who knows why...privacy issues, legal aspects etc.). Blogs are disappearing , a YOUTUBE video has bee yanked. Get there quick if you are truely curious before its all pulled.
