I don't understand why though, what good does it do? Buyers can't see how many watchers there are can they?

I've heard various numbers on what was needed to get on the pulse... but considering there are so many categories of the pulse, I'm thinking now that it has more to do with how many watchers all the other items in that category has and they are all then ranked by number of watchers and the top ones get on...
Did that make sense?

It's the only thing that I can think of cause I know I've had items in the past that have had 70+ watchers and the item didn't get into the pulse... at least not that I ever saw...
