I have two non paying bidders this month! Both for nearly 100$ each... http://www.buildaforum.com/inkforums/img/smilies/sad.gif I reported them both...but I can see that one of them is still bidding and winning other items? This particular person lives in NYC Park Ave South...that is an exclusive area with a lot of $$ ... Her feedback is excellent and I wonder what is going on? Has anyone else had non paying bidders this month?

Well I have the one wack job in TX that bid on the toybox that was a pick up only item, and I believe that she is avoiding my calls and emails, so looks like I'll have to wait the 7 days and file NPB... If she'd just own up to the fact that she made a mistake or didn't read etc. I woudln't mind, but to totally ignore my phone calls and emails is just rude, kwim? LOL
I had a two last week that waited till I sent reminders just before filing the NPB to send their payment.
Did you notice any similar or identical items that maybe she opted to pay for the cheaper one instead?

No..she does like nautical related items...and also lives in NYC Park Ave. South!! So she is not short of $$ ... I figured she didn't notice that she was the winner, so I sent her another invoice and 3 reminder emails... No response! She is active on Ebay though, bought several items over the 100.00$ mark... hmmmm..I wonder if the sellers received her payment? Well anyways, she will get pop up messages from Ebay every time she signs on.
The other gal that didn't pay did email me..saying she will go to paypal immediately! Never did... So I will be out this month close to 200.00$..

Yes, it's that time of year again. The dingys have come out of hiding. Here's another thread on the dingys.

Definition of dingys: eBay buyer who cannot read, waits until last minute to pay---opts for parcel and wants the item in 1 day, doesn't pay at all--responds to NPB just to leave you a neg, etc., etc., etc., and on and on and on.

Just my one zero feedback crazie who, before she was "robed" http://www.buildaforum.com/inkforums/img/smilies/rolleyes.gif loved my items sooooo much that she just HAD to bid on, but of course didn't pay for, five of them, to the tune of $150. If she would have been the only bidder, it might not have stung so much, but I had other viable bids..and now I will forever be overly suspicious of anyone with zero feedback.
So I had 5 NPBs all wrapped up in one. Do I win the prize? *sigh*

I am cruising at about $173.00 of NPB's for this week alone on stuff that ended Sunday.
The really annoying ones are the ones that snipe at the very end and then after bidding things up forget to pay.
And the number is about to grow. I have a newbie who did a buy it now on a book early this afternoon and still has not paid.
The good news is a former client called and offered me a gig today.
I don't know about going back into the fray but paid holidays and vacations are really looking good right about now.
I really would like to move so my dog can bite a better class of people.

No NPBs, but one jerk who waited five days to pay for his book, then left a positive feedback that said it took ten days from payment to arrive. I shipped the d*mn book the same day he paid http://www.buildaforum.com/inkforums/img/smilies/mad.gif http://www.buildaforum.com/inkforums/img/smilies/mad.gif http://www.buildaforum.com/inkforums/img/smilies/mad.gif and he brought my stupid star rating for shipping time down to 4.7!

...She left a message on the dispute board that she Already Paid! Hmmmm...Opened the disput on the 29th of August...and she paid Paypal today on the 31st...
When did she post the message?
I had someone several months back that did pretty much the same thing, no contact at all, no response to several invoices and nice reminders, then I filed the NPB and on like the LAST day to respond, she replied that she already paid... I was dumbfounded cause I KNEW she hadn't already paid and the way she wrote it just seemed like she was implying that I filed the NPB out of spite or something and how dare I, cause she already paid... I nearly replied with a really nasty message... but I decided to wait and check my paypal and sure enough she had paid like seconds before she posted the message, I hadn't even gotten the email notification yet.
I too was still wary of the feedback she'd leave, but she never did leave any. lol. I think she was afraid of what I would leave for her and didn't want to leave it first and I definately wasn't leaving it first! http://www.buildaforum.com/inkforums/img/smilies/lol.gif

I had a nonpaying bidder for about $2000 in stuff out of my store. 5 big ticket items. All bought within a couple minutes of eachother. Large pieces of furniture. I know it was in retaliation for a previous item from several months before.
I couldn't prove it though. Buyer had false contact info. YOU USED TO BE ABLE TO GET A NEG REMOVED FOR THIS but not anymore. Buyer filed 5 negs. Ebay wouldn't do anything about it. I also have phone contacts at ebay and an account manager. Didn't do a bit of good. Ebay would not budge.

I took a long time off...frustrated that the only one making any money was the post office.
Looks like I chose a bad time to try again. I don't know if it counts, but I had a bidder win two auctions in one week. She freaked out when she received two invoices. She said she only wanted, and would only pay for, one lot of items.
I guess I was lucky, she had actually bid on three auctions at a time to cover all bases to make sure she won one. Go figure.
Now, I have another non paying bidder. Eight days with no response. I just now checked her feedback. She has twelve negs in the past month from seven sellers.
Sellers' comments:
Non paying bidder
Vindictive liar
No word for one month, then suddenly asks for refund
Said mailed cash, and still no money
Feedback she left for others:
Not pleased at all
God forgive you, I have
You never sent me your address! I am so sad for you
One seller replied:
Lied three times about sending payment! Done same to others
At this point I don't even care about the money or the neg. feedback she leaves in retaliation. What scares me is these people get your name and address. I don't want this type of crazy to know where I live. She obviously is out of control.
It used to be, you win, you pay, I ship.
When did it become more complicated?

When did it become more complicated?
When Ebay started making sellers bend over backwards (and worse) to please buyers who never intended on paying to begin with.

Oldstufftwo...Wow...I am so sorry, 2000$ is tough to absorb the end of the month...You do wonder though because Ebay is also losing on all the commission and charges on the $2000...I wonder if Ebay will ever get their head out of the MUD and help the seller's like they do the buyers?

Not likely, since it's already been determined that they don't make as much money in these fees as they do in other revenue/fees.
I understand wanting to protect buyers against fraudulent sellers and scammers, but their rules and policies are not doing a very good job of doing anything except hurting good sellers that have no intention or desire to scam their customers but keep ending up with idiots and scammers as buyers!

Filing has become a liability too. All the NPB has to do is leave a "period" (.) response and they are free to leave the seller neg. FB that eBay will not remove, but will use against the seller's account.

Yeah, but a lot of them don't know that, and if they do they're definately more versed in not paying for stuff than ebay should be allowing.
It'd be different if there was a way that ebay didn't charge the fees unless and untill payment was made. Of course that would require only allowing PP as a payment choice and then that's not fair to those who choose not to use PP or those who can't for various reasons....
Course if ebay only charged insertion fees and not a percentage of the FV there wouldn't be an issue either... Sure you'd have to relist, and pay those again, but it's better than having to fight, beg & plead with buyers to pay or to get your FVF's back.
I always file NPB if they don't pay in the 7 days and the only time any have replied (with one exception) was to say the did pay (immediately after paying) the exception was a guy who said he was paying and sent an echeck, only to cancel it the day it was to clear. Who happened to be the same bidder on the same item (but with a one digit different ID) that previously didn't pay... I was livid that he bid at all but it happeded to take place during a power outage we had during a close call with a hurricane and he bid in the last few minutes.
Thankfully it worked out in the end and both his ID's became NARU'd before he could try and leave me any negs. And I ended up later selling the item for nearly twice as much as the first go round (which was twice as much as the second go round)
Really should be some major changes at ebay and not in the direction they've been taking. having more buyers isn't going to do crap for them if there are no sellers to sell to them.

Especially since it's the sellers, not the bidders, who pay the bills.
