And they don't live locally. They just joined earlier this month and mine is the only item they've bid on... they bid in the last few hours of an item that was marked as local pick up only... of course I couldn't see where they were located prior to the end of auction to be able to cancel their bid, so had to assume they were old enough to read... come to find they are not.

I emailed the right after the end to find out what the deal was, making sure they weren't bidding on behalf of a friend who was local or had plans on being in the area withing the next week, and of course no response.

What steps would you take at this point. Do I have to wait till the full 7 days are up? I've waited 2 days now for any type of response, even a "oh my! I didn't realize it was pick up only" or "or sorry my toddler bid on it" (it is a toy box after all! LOL)

I had one person ask early on in the listing if I'd ship it, but it wasn't this bidder and my answer was no anyway as I don't have a box large enough and don't want to bother with hunting for one or trying to make one... just not worth the time.

I would not wait the 7 days. I would request their user info through ebay, call them, and say something like "Just wanted to make contact with you since this is a pick up only item, arrange a time, give you directions, and see if you had any questions".

I would also do as justgr8buys suggested.
