I was at an estate sale this morning and found what I hope to be a few treasures. However, I have no idea how to describe them or what they are....

I don't know if this amazing 3 dimensional display is a carving or cut from paper or what. It is looks like some of the souvenir stuff that came out of the orient in the 40's and 50's ?? The frame is black lacquered wood and the protective housing is glass panes.

This is a set of knives and forks only small. I can't figure if the handles are Bakelite, plastic or bone ( some have cracks and or crazing.) The blades look too shinny to be brass (?) or how can you tell if they are gold flashed etc.? cocktail set? appetizer set etc. ?

I would appreciate some help if anyone has some ideas for descriptions etc...

Thanks,
Tiaterry

Thank you very much, I spent an hour trying to find a similar item with no luck. Chinese Cork sculpture brings up similar items.

Thanks again,
