Photo editing software suggestions?

I have been using Microsoft Picture It 7.0 for many years now and really love it. Problem is I just upgraded to a new computer and have misplaced my original software so I can't load it on the new machine.

I'm not highly computer literate so I really hate the idea of learning a new program. I have been trying Irfanview since I have seen it touted here in the forums, but I am still struggling with trying to use it.

My basic needs/wants are:
Batch editing
Crop
Resize
Adjust brightness/contrast
Sharpen/blur (focusing)
Removing flaws/spots
and I really like to be able to move the edited pictures into folder/files I have already set up for different categories of pics, such as Kitchen, Yard, Motors....etc.

Anyone know of a free program that is not too difficult to learn that offers all of these?

I don't know of a free program that will batch do "all" those things.

The best free program I've used before that is capable of some batch processing is:

I like PSP XI. You can get older versions a lot cheaper and will do what you need and more. Paint Shop Pro 9 is a great version also!

There is a little bit of a learning curve, but it's a very nice program to have.

I would be concerned about recommending PSP to someone who is having trouble learning IV.

Evidently, I can't read today and shouldn't be recommending anything, haha! I totally missed that. Sure I see it now, but I must have been in too much of a hurry earlier.

Got to get more sleep so I don't miss these things. I've been having brain freeze all day today. Not my day, that's for sure.
