I was wondering why, when eBay offers something for free, I check to see if my wallet, car keys and the family jewels are still where they are supposed to be?

And 40 cents without. So if you normally use both, you're saving 40 cents. If you normally don't use gallery, you're saving 5 cents and getting a free gallery pic.
At least that's how I interpret it. http://www.buildaforum.com/inkforums/img/smilies/grin.gif

Does anybody know if you will choose to list tomorrow with gallery picture how to get rid of it when you will relist your item next time?

So the deal is:
If you list something under a buck, they only charge you 15¢ for gallery, which all other sites give you for free. Of course, it's physically impossible to make a profit selling something for a buck.
For a buck to $10, you save a nickel. This encourages people to list crap which is almost impossible to make a profit on.
More expensive stuff gets the regular screw job rates.
If you're foolish enough to relist stuff, ebaY will automagically include the gallery, even if you go in and remove it.
Such a Deal.

EXACTLY! eBay stocks must be way down and they are anticipating the listing slump for the labor day weekend coming up. Probably hoping sellers will relist their "junk" that doesn't sell so they have "figures" for that holiday week.

No matter how they gold plate it, ebaY is still offering you a turd.

I think they are trying to build up the numbers so they don't look so bad with all the gun stuff disappearing.

Did I miss something? Did they do away with gun categories?

I listed something this morning on IF and when I checked the Ebay Errors and Fees on the bottom, it showed a 40 cent insertion fee. I did select gallery, so that's not the problem. I wonder if this will be fixed later?? Thanks.

Joyce,
That is eBay, not InkFrog.

Please note: For sellers listing with any tool other than the latest version of the Sell Your Item for (SYI 3.0) the promotional price will not be shown during the listing process. Instead the discount will be reflected in the "View Account Status" section in My eBay, as well as in your next invoice.
